Official Contest Rules

   
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT
INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1.  How to Enter the Contest:

a.    These rules govern the “Clip Of” contest (the “Contest”) being conducted by WUSN 99.5 FM (the “Station”) beginning at 5:30 a.m. CT on TBD and ending at 10:00 a.m. CT on TBD after a listener correctly identifies the artist and song to win the prize.

b.    To participate in the Contest, contestants must listen to WUSN weekdays between 5:30 a.m. CT and 10:00 a.m. CT starting on TBD and successfully call in on the station’s contest line at (312) 591-8799 when prompted by the on-air personalities. The 19th caller to get through to the station will become a participant in the “Clip Of” promotion for the chance to win TBD.  Each participant will be asked by the on-air personalities to listen to the “Clip Of”.  The listener must correctly identify the artist and song in order to win the prize, upon confirmation of contest eligibility.  If the participant guesses incorrectly, they will not win and additional callers will be taken until the artist and song is correctly answered.  There will be one (1) opportunity per weekday to call in and win.  

c.    WUSN is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call. 

d.    There is no limit to the number of times a contestant may attempt to call in to become a winner, but a contestant can become a winner only once during the Contest Period.

2.  Eligibility Restrictions:

a.    The contest is open to all WUSN listeners who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who reside in the greater Chicago metropolitan area. Employees, agents, successors, and assignees of WUSN, its licensee, CBS Radio Inc., CBS Corporation, subsidiaries and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Chicago metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and household members are ineligible to participate or win.

b.   Listeners may only win a station prize once during the duration of the contest.

c.   Winners must hold government issued photo identification to be eligible to receive a contest prize.

3.  Prize:

a.   Up to TBD winners will receive TBD.  ARV: TBD No prize substitutions, cash equivalent, or transfer of prizes permitted except in the sole discretion of WUSN. Prize subject to availability and WUSN reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to award a prize of greater or equal value if the advertised prize is unavailable. If a selected event is unable to take place as scheduled, for reasons such as cancellation, preemption, postponement or unavailability, or for any reason beyond the control of WUSN, WUSN’s sole responsibility to a winner will be to award the remaining available portion of the prize and no substitution will be provided for unawarded portion of prize.  Tickets are subject to terms and conditions as specified by issuer.  Seat locations to be determined by WUSN. WUSN reserves the right to remove or to deny entry to Winner and/or guest if he/she engages in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the show.

b.   There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.

4.  Selection of Winners:

a.      Decisions of WUSN management with respect to the contest are final.

b.   As per 1.b of these official contest rules, the 19th caller to reach the station’s contest line at (312) 591-8799 will immediately play the “Clip Of” Contest on-air for their chance to win the Prize. If the caller does not correctly state the artist and song, he/she will not win and additional callers will be taken until the artist and song is correctly answered.

5. Phrase That Pays Contest Method of Play:

a.    Participant will be asked by the on-air personality to listen to the “Clip of”.  The listener must correctly identify the artist and song in order to win the prize, upon confirmation of contest eligibility.  If the participant guesses incorrectly, additional callers will be taken until a listener correctly identifies the artist and song.  

b.    There will be one (1) opportunity each weekday throughout the duration of the Contest Period to call in and win between 5:30 a.m. CT and 10:00 a.m. CT.  The “Clip Of” will not change until a caller correctly identifies the artist and song.

c.    The on-air personalities, at their discretion, may give clues to the answer on the air during the contest period.  

e.    The odds of winning depend upon the number and order of calls received and the contestants’ ability to correctly identify the artist and song.

f.    Winner must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form, if applicable, within 15 days of winning.


5.  Conditions:

a.      Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent. 

b.     By participating in the contest, the winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and where legal, to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.

c.     Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, WUSN in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and guest) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold WUSN, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

d.      WUSN reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event, including the TBD event on TBD is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

e.   Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, at the sole discretion of WUSN.

f.   WUSN is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.

g.      Copies of the written contest rules and a list of all winners are available during regular business hours at the main studio of WUSN, 2 Prudential Plaza, Suite 1000, Chicago, IL 60601, or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to WUSN.

b.    To participate in the Contest, contestants must listen to WUSN weekdays between 5:30 a.m. CT and 9:50 a.m. CT starting on TBD and successfully call in on the station’s contest line at (312) 591-8799 when prompted by the on-air personalities. The first  caller to get through to the station will become a participant in the Phrase That  Pays promotion for the chance to win TBD.  Each participant will be asked by the on-air personalities to listen to the Phrase That Pays.  The listener must correctly identify the Phrase That Pays in order to win the prize, upon confirmation of contest eligibility.  If the participant guesses incorrectly, they will not win and additional callers will be taken until the Phrase That Pays is correctly answered.  There will be one (1) opportunity per weekday to call in and win.  

c.    WUSN is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.

e.    The odds of winning depend upon the number and order of calls received and the contestants’ ability to correctly identify the Phrase That Pays.

f.    Winner must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form, if applicable, within 15 days of winning.

a.      Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.

b. To participate in the Contest, Contestants must listen to WUSN (the “Station”) at 99.5 FM between 3:00pm and 7:00pm each weekday during the Contest Period to hear the “cue to call”. Once Drew Walker has given the “cue to call,” listeners must successfully call the station as the designated caller at 312.591.8799. (no area code is needed if you are calling from the 312, 630, 708, or 773 area codes) and correctly name four (4) out of the eight (8) songs previously played up to that point.  The winner will win one (1) prize TBD, upon confirmation of eligibility. Designated callers will be required to provide their first and last name, complete mailing address (including zip code), telephone number, and date of birth at time of call. If the designated caller is found to be ineligible by the Station to win the prize, the winner will forfeit the prize. The cue to call will be aired up to five (5) times during the Contest Period.
c. The Station is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions, or any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his or her phone call.

To participate in the Contest, Contestants must listen to WUSN (the “Station”) at 99.5 FM between 3:00pm and 7:00pm each weekday during the Contest Period to hear the “cue to call”.  The “cue to call” will include a clip of an artist’s song.  Once Drew Walker has given the “cue to call,” listeners must successfully call the station as the designated caller at 312.591.8799 (no area code is needed if you are calling from the 312, 630, 708, or 773 area codes) and they must also complete the phrase word for word by either singing it or saying it.  The winner will win one (1) prize TBD, upon confirmation of eligibility. Designated callers will be required to provide their first and last name, complete mailing address (including zip code), telephone number, and date of birth at time of call. If the designated caller is found to be ineligible by the Station to win the prize, the winner will forfeit the prize.
