Official Contest Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1)    HOW TO ENTER
a)    The US99.5 “Coors Light Bags Tournament for Toby Keith Tickets” contest (the “Contest”) will begin at approximately 8:00 p.m. Central Time (“CT”) on Wednesday, August 5 2009, and will end at approximately 11:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, August 5, 2009.  The Contest will take place at Edgetown Bowl, located at 1330 S. Eastwood Drive, Woodstock, Illinois.
b)    To participate in the Contest, teams consisting of two (2) people must stop by Edgetown Bowl on Wednesday, August 5, 2009.  Contestants must complete a registration form during the first hour of the event (between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. CT), while supplies last, and include first and last name, complete address, including zip code, daytime telephone number and date of birth for each person. All entries must be received by 9:00 p.m. CT. Then, once all entries have been collected during each particular event, based on a first come first serve basis, a US99.5 representative will select sixteen (16) teams of two (2) people each in a random drawing  to compete in that night’s tournament. Each team will be placed into a tournament bracket system, and the US99.5 Promotions Team will call teams up when it is their turn to play. Two (2) games will be going on at all times, until the tournament is completed.
c)    US99.5, Coors Light and any additional participating sponsors of this Contest (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Sponsors”) assume no responsibility whatsoever for any lost, misdirected, illegible, stolen, incomplete, mutilated, or late registration forms.  All registration forms become the exclusive property of WUSN and will not be returned.

The Game will take place as follows:

Regulation sized playing boards will be placed 27’ apart from each other by a US99.5 representative.  Play consists of two teams with one player from each team standing on opposite ends of the playing boards.  Each team has four (4) bags of one (1) color, and all eight (8) bags begin at one end.  To start, one team will be selected in a random drawing from the sixteen (16) teams previously selected, to go first.  (In the event that less than 16 teams register to play, the tournament bracket will be adjusted accordingly.)  A player from the first team will toss the first bag from anywhere behind the front of the board.  If a player tosses a bag from anywhere in front of the board, any points associated with the toss will be disqualified. Play continues by alternating tosses between the 2 opponent players until all 8 bags have been tossed.  Winners will be determined by the scoring scale set forth below.  The winning team of each round tosses first in the next round.  Contestants will not be allowed any practice or warm-up tosses prior to their turn.  Stand-ins or proxies shall not be permitted for any contestant.

Scoring:
1.    A bag that lands on the board, a “cow pie” is worth one (1) point.
2.    A bag in the hole, a “cornhole,” is worth three (3) points.
3.    Points cancel out (E.G. If team one has three (3) bags on the board and team two has two (2) bags on the board, then team one nets 1 point)
4.    The winning team of each round tosses first in the next round.
5.    Any bags touching the ground or that hit the ground and bounce/roll onto the board do not count and should be removed from the board before the next toss.
6.    The first team to eleven (11) points or more wins, as long as they win by two (2) or more points.  If the teams are within one (1) point of each other, play continues until one team wins by two (2) or more points.
