Well guys. The shows are over. Bittersweet, I gotta say. It was a blast to be in Kansas City for 9 nights. I was so proud to see Garth up there and feeling the love from the fans. For me, it was just an honor to be on the shows and my favorite part of it for me was singing “In Another’s Eyes” with him on stage. It was as electric on stage as it was in the audience, I guarantee you! Thanks to everybody who came to the shows and also to everyone who went to theaters to see the show last night. I was unfortunately unable to sing last night because I finally really lost my voice. I watched the 9th night from the sidelines and it was fantastic. Thanks again to everyone who came out.

Hey guys!
Show number 8 is tonight! I am starting to lose my voice a little, just as G’s is on the way back! I guess it’s my turn. Everyone here, bands, crews, etc. are having a great time. The Sprint Center is beautiful and the staff and security here are the nicest folks I’ve ever worked with. It’s all good! I have really been enjoying watching the folks here who have never been a part of the Garth “experience”, especially my friend Karyn Rochelle. She wrote “Georgia Rain” for those of you who don’t know, and is graciously singing back up for Garth’s shows. She had never been to a Garth show in her life, so this has been quite an experience for her! My new album, “Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of Love” comes out tomorrow and she has 4 songs on it, so I’m hoping life is just getting better and better for her! One more night left….in a way, I’ll hate to see it end, because who knows when or if it will happen again. Enjoy every second.

Hey Chicago!
Tonight was a special night for our show. My first
and only guitar player for the last 16 years, Johnny
Garcia, couldn't be at the show because his oldest
son, Chris, is getting married today. I am really
happy for him and have known Chris since he was 11
years old. (By the way, that makes me REALLY old!) I
asked two of my friends to fill in for Garcia tonight.
Dan Dugmore played steel guitar and lap steel. He's
played with so many amazing artists, including my hero
Linda Ronstadt. I can't believe I got to share the
stage with him! You can hear more of Dan on my new
album, "Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of Love",
coming out Tuesday. I can't wait! I also asked Brent
Mason, guitar player extraordinairre, to join me
tonight. He has played on tons of records out of
Nashville. Hearing him play the solo tonight on
"She's In Love With The Boy" was surreal, because he
composed it and played it first on the record 16 years
ago! Brent can also be heard on the current record on
the last cut, "Sing You Back To Me". It was a fun
night for me! More later...

Hey Chicago!
So, here we are, day 6 in Kansas City. All I can say
so far is...wow! The crowds have been just fantastic!
Our show is very high energy and hopefully just long
enough to whet everyone's appetite for the Cowboy. I
have to say he's been phenomenal. I know that I am
partial, (after all, he IS my husband!), but I'm
really enjoying his shows. He puts on such a
fantastic show and doesn't hold anything back. I'm
glad that at least 153,000 people are getting a chance
to see these concerts. Can't wait to see what the
next 3 nights have in store! Later!

Hey Chicago!
3 days down in Kansas City and I'm having a blast! I had forgotten what a crazy crowd the Garth audience is! They sang every word of our songs tonight and of course, went wild when the Cowboy walked out onstage. This is truly an event. It's not my "normal" kind of show, so it's a wonderful treat to get to be a part of the Garth frenzy for these 9 nights. More later!

Hey Chicago!
Kansas City is going great! Tonight's show was phenomenal. As I type this, my husband, (you know, Garth Brooks!) is onstage. He just finished singing "Rodeo". I gotta say, I don't think I'm the only one who thinks he looks FANTASTIC in his Wrangers. Ok, too much information! Well, I've gotta get ready to go back out onstage for the husband/wife, duet portion of the show! More later.
